Laurel’s little list of qualities a good leader has.
1. They are humble and concerned with what is right vs. their appearance.
2. Good leaders listen. They don’t shun, ignore, dismiss, or immediately defend feedback-no matter how it’s presented.
3. They seek God’s glory.
4. They pursue unity and are edifying.
5. They quickly admit faults.
6. Good leaders have solid accountability. Pastors need pastors, too.
7. They consider needs and feelings of others.
8. They believe the best.
9. They minister through surrendered brokenness.
10. Good leaders trust God to give them the victory and provide for all of their needs.
11. They spend time in the Word and God’s presence daily. Margin is intentionally woven into their routines.
12. They have a holy fear of God that keeps them obedient.
